She Smiles To Make Me Happy

I still have like four drafts saved here but I keep on pushing them off the pile or forgetting... Or choosing to forget. Heeeeeh. Here's an outfit post though. I don't even know why I'm posting this at past midnight when I know most of you are already asleep or maybe insomniacs like me.

Elora and Patricia

Patricia, Mark, Elora

Elora and another Patricia who we call Patty

Patricia, Angelica, Elora
ekskyuz zi peys

Gray dress: Forever 21+
Shoes: Rue de CMG (for P799!!!)
Hair and make-up: Buff and Polish (neighborhood parlor)
Clutch: Gift from my parents

Wore this to Hannah's debut last Friday at Manila Hotel. She wanted us girls to wear something that isn't black but sparkly and this is the only dress I could find that I found close to the theme. Forever 21 saved me yet again, lol.

By the way, don't you just love the price of my shoes? I went to Trinoma last Wednesday to buy shoes 'cause the pair I was supposed to use broke and Mr. Quickie said he couldn't fix it. So I went shopping alone and was very happy to see Rue de CMG's sale: P999 for 2 pairs and P799 for one pair. I wanted to buy another one, believe me. But after trying on around six to seven pairs, I gave up and left. They didn't even want to let go of me, haha! I think they're still having the sale right now, 'til May 31 (tomorrow) so go, go, go!!!

I'm not promising but I'm going to try to post at least two or three of the entries I have saved later today (May 30). Or maybe I should promise so I do it... Okay, I promise. Good night!

Day 19: I MISS.

Day 19: Something that you miss

There are countless things that I miss, really. It's impossible to name just one. You know, we're not that old to be missing so many things but we can't stand a chance in a fight against time.

Hannah, Janina, Elora, Karen and Patty; August 2006

Hannah and Trixie; April 2011
(that building is my high school)

I graduated from Benedictine International School of Quezon City (which we call Bene for short). It's really small and everybody knows everybody. It was a big change from Miriam College (my school before Bene) but since every year there's someone new, you're not the only one trying to cope up with everything and everyone else. When we were in Bene though, we always complained about everything; from teachers, to classmates, to facilities, etc. But now, man do I miss nothing more than that school. It's the place where I met the people who I learned only the best from, may they be mistakes or whatever. I love my school and I miss it so much especially now in college where I'm meeting so many people who are totally different from the people who I used to be with every single day of every single month of every single year for five years (sixth grade to fourth year high school).

Bambam, Elora, E; March 1995

Who doesn't miss being a baby? I miss being a baby in a way that I wish I was back to being a simple girl with no bad thoughts and everything is just happy and dandy. Life isn't like that, though; you can't just pretend that everything's okay when it's not. So I grew up and I'm still facing that fact - I mean, aren't we all? Wait, when was this turned sad? Scraaaatch that sad vibe. For real though, don't you just miss going outside your house, running around with your friends for no reason at all? Your parents bringing home gifts for you just because they felt like it? Oh, how I love my childhood. I want it back sometimes!

These are the two things that I really truly miss the most right now (and the beach). <3
Thank God I have things in my life that I miss and love!

"It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them."

Hello again! Today is Monday so we've made it a thing to call it Elora and Trixie Day, since for the past few weeks I seem to always be at her place - it's always been my second home, you see. Today was special though, 'cause our other best friend was with us.

Yey, hello Hannah!

We were supposed to have a photo shoot but we ended up just mainly taking photos of Hannah 'cause Trixie and I just recently had a photo shoot so we didn't really feel the shoot vibe. Hannah was totally game though so we took some shots and Trixie couldn't help herself - she still joined in the fun.

Excuse the blurriness of the photos.

I think I really need help already for my shoots, especially when it's sunny. I can't see well if the photos are out of focus or what. I try to use manual focus all the time 'cause sometimes auto focus is just plain MEAN. It's like an iPod/iPhone/iPad's version of auto correct/auto spell.

You can see Hannah's BlackBerry here!

You see my best friend's dream is to touch a basketball ring.

They're the best I've ever had. <3

More photos of today on my photo blog, go check it out here.

Day 11: I need a life.

Hiii all! Had a shoot with my best friend Trixie today at her village. It was fun but I was such a downerrr! We had three concepts ('cause her outfits were totally different from each other) but it turned into two 'cause I suddenly felt down! Then Trixie did, too. SEE HOW CONTAGIOUS I AM?!

Here's a teaser though:

Day 11: Favorite TV shows

What's the best thing I love doing with my family? BUM AROUND. I love it when it's a lazy weekend and we pop in a DVD (whether they're a series or a movie), my sister and I put the extra bed on the floor of my parents room, then we turn on the air conditioner then we just hang-out there and eat some popcorn. It's the best feeling to just hang-out with your family. So like I said, we love to watch series. If we don't watch it together, we usually pass it around the house. We like to share everything here, ya know?

I used to love Grey's Anatomy, but now, I'd rather watch a corny variety show than watch GA. Now only my sister and my mom are (so, so, so, so, SOOOO) hooked to the show. My dad's not into that kind of drama. My dad LOVES comedy.

Here are some of the shows we love to watch together or pass around the house though:

I'm actually watching one of my favorite TV shows right now.
How I Met Your Mother is one of the most awesome shows EVER.

My number one favorite TV show is FRIENDS, though.
I can watch it over and over (DVD) for a month.
I promise I'm not kidding.

Who doesn't love Glee? I end my case.

I've heard this from friends before,
but I really got hooked to the show because of my sister.
I've only watched the first season though (loser i know)
and that was more than a year ago but I loooove them!

Probably late last year or early this year,
I fell in love with Two and a half Men.
It's really funny. Too bad Charlie Sheen's busy winning.

Recently my friend Liz introduced me to Modern Family,
the same time I introduced her to Skins. We got hooked
to both series, thank goodness I met Liz. Haha!
P.S. Claire looks so pretty on this photo!

I DO NOT WATCH THIS WITH MY FAMILY. HAHAHAHAHA
Who has watched Skins and did not fall in love?
I also love the cinematography of Skins. They're perfect.
So are Nicholas Hoult, Luke Pasqualino and Kaya Scodelario.

So there! Go watch these shows, I'm sure you'll fall in love the same way I have. :) Then again, you might turn into bums like me. So... Watch with caution.

Day 09: We're meant to be best friends, not blood-related sisters.

Hi, everyone. So today was interesting. My mom and I went to the mall today to go shopping and stuff. I bought a baaag, and I'm so happy with it. I tried out Happy Lemon, I didn't really enjoy it as much as I enjoy Bubble Tea. Then finally, I bought STATUS Magazine's April issue, which makes me so happy. For several reasons, which involves my love for them (you already know that) and my crush. OKAY, THAT'S IT.

I'm down with a headache right now 'cause I've been feeling sort of sad all day for some reason so as usual, being me, I had my mind freaking out all day. I guess it got tired, so now I have a headache. Bad vibes, please. Leave me alone.

Day 9: A favorite picture of your best friend

Mainly, I have a lot of best friends. I actually have a problem figuring out who my best friends are and who my true friends are. I have few true friends so whenever I hang-out with them I'm always like, "AWWW, YOU'RE MY BEST FRIEND" Haha! Honestly though, I have my sisters, and I have my best friends and all of them are my true friends. I may just confuse you.

Elora, Trixie and Hannah. 2009.

This is mainly my favorite picture with these two. They're my sisters for life 'cause they've both been there for me through good and bad. Especiaaaalllllyyyyy the good!!! We've had our usual ups and downs, and we've never had a fight that separated us three. It was always two against one, which is funny and immature at the same time. Our age gaps are funny too. Hannah's turning 18 in May 2011, I just turned 17, March 2011 and Trixie's turning 16, May 2011. Hannah and I are both in college, while Trixie's just entering college. They'll be going to the same school, while I'll still be sooo far away. Which makes me think about trying out my dream school again (De La Salle University). Whut do you guys thinkkkk?

Arielle and Bambam (still me, hi). 2011.

Not necessarily my favorite photo of us, but it's really cute. I love this little lady. I've already written about how special she is to me here. Check it out, yes?

I feel blessed to have these sisters of mine. I have a lot of friends, a few true friends who are my best friends and three sisters (aside from blood-related sisters). I love them so much.

Praise God for I have people in my life who love me and keep me sane. :)

I wish I had the money to make this real

Right now, as I type this, I am Skype-ing with Patricia, and watching Rugrats on TV. I've been thinking all day how much I've wanted to type up a blog but I had no Idea what to type about... 'til about ten minutes earlier.

Patricia is a girl with a good fashion sense. She's in love with getting dressed in Zara, Forever 21, all those shops. Sometimes, let me be honest, it gets freakeh, but she's my best friend so I just compliment her with all my heart. Or if not, I just stare and then laugh at her 'cause she feels so concsious. But anyway, we were talking about Forever 21, and then I asked her, if there was one store that you could own for clothes, what would it be? She answered Zara first, 'cause I think everyone we know knows that that's her favorite store ever. Then she said, "Can I choose Rustan's instead?" Then it got to the point where I said I wish I owned Rustan's then I'd buy Forever 21 from SM.

Since Patricia didn't ask me what establishment I'd want to own for my clothes, let me share them to you! Also, let me also tell you the other stores I'd love to own for my own needs and/or wants. Oh, yes. The life of a dreamer is nice.

For clothes, I'd go with:
If I could own Forever 21, I would be good forever.
And I wish all their sizes fit me, because they don't always
have nice things in Faith 21, but I still love them.

I haven't even been to the States but
I love their clothes! They're sophisticated yet casual.
Their models in their Fashion Studio are pretty, too.
Not one of those fake girls... At least I hope so.

I'd also like to own Artwork or People are People.

I'm not sure. I'm only limiting myself to three
establishments per category.

Maybe I should go with Artwork.

Or TeamManila!

For shoes, I'd go with:
I have not bought anything from this
store but I was supposed to like two weeks ago.
Only, they were either too small or too big. :(
I must go back to Payless, I don't
care if it won't fit me, I will make it a point to buy!

I don't own any pair... Yet. I just told Patricia
that if no one gives me a pair this Christmas,
I will buy a pair for myself... Maybe in mid-January. :>
I love their designs. I love looking at Espadrilles. They
don't necissarily have to be TOMS but I love TOMS
because we get to help when we buy. <3>
Even if they're EXPENSIVE.

I'd buy this store for their flats and so I won't have
a hard time buying gifts for my sister. My sister's Crocs
collection is unbelievable.

*I also want Shoe Salon because they have Converse and other brands I adore.

For accessories, maybe:
Forever 21 is pricey when it comes to accessories
but they're really cute and kind of, sort of worth it.
They're so pretteh.... I'm gonna die!

I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS STORE, OMG.
I love their BAGS, THEIR UK THEMED BAGS and wallets and lalalala...
I went to GB5 with my sister one time and I
Tweeted that if anyone would get me something from
Accessorize, I'd love them forever.

I like looking at ALDO Accessories, they're very fancy
and delicate. So, I like them. I'm screen-sharing by the way
so Patricia just told me ALDO has reasonable prices.

For make-up, I like:
Although I don't remember buying anything from there yet.
It's such a pretty place though.

I love The Face Shop. :) I don't know 'bout you,
but most of the sales ladies who have been there when I was
were really nice and in Patricia's words, accomodating.
Plus, I am IN LOVE with their nail polishes.
Before my last prom, my mom had me choose from there.
It's a bit pricey when you get used to 50 peso polishes, but they're totally worth it.

I buy my eyeliner from Nichido.
And mints from Watsons, hehe.

For now those will be the categories. Maybe in later posts, I'll talk about my top three books, food, music stores, etc. By the way, I used to hate shopping. I used to cry when we'd go shopping 'cause I'd rather do other things. But now, my mom's really happy that I love shopping now, too. But at the same time, she gets annoyed that I spend so much. I even learned the great perks of online shopping recently and after two orders, she wanted me to stop. Meh. Anyway, there - my top three clothing stores, shoe stores and make-up stores that I'd love to own. :)

'til next time!

Question: If you had the chance, would you rather own an apparel store, a shoe store, or a make-up store?

Click on the girl with the red Toms and check
out her LookBook. Yes, that's Patricia. :)

Was graduation really the end?

So, I graduated last March 2010, and it was the most emotional event ever. I was nervous the entire morning, laughing during the ceremony, and then crying right after the ceremony. I just stared at my best friend, Hannah and it just happened: BOOM *TEAAARS*. I realized all of a sudden that (let me just quote Laguna Beach on this) it was "the end of the beginning". But then, like every other high school graduate, we made our promises to never forget about each other and keep close.

This Christmas season, my college friends have been hanging out with their high school friends - having Christmas parties, having dinners and lunches... And it makes me sad because I realized, how much I've grown apart from my own high school friends. Although I'm very happy for my college friends to be so happy with their old friends, I'm still very sad because I want that, too. It's one of those un-material things that I really want for Christmas. I love my family and I love spending every minute with them. But then I miss my best friends so much. As in, so much! We've been planning dinners, sessions, things like that for several times and none of them have really pushed through.

It makes me wonder: Now that my high school friends and I have new friends, new schedules, new schools... Is it all really over? Have we all moved on and forgotten about each other? I really hope not. Because I don't think I've moved on. I talk about them with my college buddies every day, I think about them, I miss them... That's all I ever do sometimes - I pretend that it's still there and it sort of makes me paranoid sometimes. As if they're mad at me or something, that's why we don't hang-out anymore. Which is silly because there's no reason to be angry since, DUH. We haven't seen each other in months!

But what made me REALLY realize all of this? I was browsing through a friend's photo album on Facebook and I saw her face and I suddenly said to myself, "Oh, man. I really don't know her anymore." And to think, this friend of mine is the girl who I used to hang-out with every single day of my high school life. 'til a few months ago, we still talked and texted everyday. Now it's like, "hey" "hey" "sup" "you don't know me anymore" "..." It makes me really sad and angry at time. *Siiiigh*

Let me reminisce and show you pictures of my high school friends who I am/used to be really, really close with.

Benedictine International School Chorale, July 2008.
Elora, Nina, Hannah, Dani, Trixie, David, Gerard, Anna, Shio.
There were more of us in the chorale but these were the only people who
attended the first practice of that year. This was already our second year as
a chorale and it was the craziest and most memorable time for our FAMILY. :)

Patricia and Elora, September 2008.
Patricia and I started being best friends when she was in
the fifth grade and I was in sixth. Her condominium was my
second home! We've been best friends for five years. :)

Elora and Hannah, July 2008.
Hannah and I used to be enemies in the second grade back
in Miriam College, but when we moved to Bene in sixth grade,
we've been inseparable ever since. But now that we're both in
college, in two different schools, I think we've grown apart.

Betches, (I forgot the month!) 2008.
Elora, Patty, Hannah, Justin.
Started in first year, faded in third year...

The beginning of TAK"S", January 2009.
Hannah, Elora, Dani, Trixie.
My girls! We promised to be best friends forever.
It was the time when I said, "I will never use the word forever
again, except for our friendship." I'm telling you, that word
is a curse!

And last, but not the least, the barkada that I always believed that would last forever. They were there for me all the time and although we had our differences, we always found happiness within the group. We went on crazyyyy trips together, and we even fed the unfortunate kids! Best experience with friends, EVER! I love them. I miss them so much. :)
My Level 9 (Third Year HS) Family, October 2008.
Jan, Adette, Leon, Hannah, Elora, Mark, Patrick.

Question: What and/or who are the things/events/people you miss MOST in your life that you feel you can never get back?

P.S. I'm sorry if the formatting of this blog is well, weird.
