It's Been A Long Time Since I've Been Around

I've got Lady Gaga's "You and I" fever because it simply is one of her best songs. In fact, I don't even care so much for Lady Gaga anymore except, she did a good job with this song. So anyway, I'm back yet again. I've posted new photos up on my photo blog and you should go and check it out if you haven't yet! They're all school related and filled with pretty faces that I love. I've still been taking photos of random people on random days, so don't worry. I'm still very much intact with my photography side. Yey!

August 25-26, 2011: Sophomore retreat at the retreat house somewhere in Taytay, Rizal! :) Such an emotional and fun experience with my block mates. Realized so much about them and how and why they are. I love them to the last straw, 'cause they always got my back and I promise I have theirs.

August 27, 2011: Had one of those random but meaningful talks with Kia after school while we waited for the rain to subside and for my driver to pick me up. The vending machine wasn't so nice to me that afternoon, so I gave my 20-peso bill to Kia instead. Haha!

Also went to the mall with my family that night then ate at Napoli. Will blog about that soon, too!

August 31, 2011: Day of reporting for our Principles of Audio-Visual Production class! We had the most bongga report I've ever seen, and it didn't even feel like reporting. Still so happy for my group for getting a really good grade on that report. Thank you to our block mates, our guest speakers, the maintenance from school, the people who we interviewed (Jason Magbanua being one of them!!) and of course our professor for helping make this one of the best things I've ever experienced! :)

September 7, 2011: U-Mag Press Conference and TV Commercial shoot! Spent the first half of the day at Jessica's place for lunch and the TVC and getting ready. Then headed to their studio for our press conference. Yes, press conference. Haha!

September 13, 2011: Random day with my dear block mates, Grace and Danica. We headed to school to test our DVDs for our PAVP class then hung-out at my place 'til it was time to leave for PEP practice. Picked up Liz, Teng and Karla from Moon Leaf, Katipunan. Ahhh, Hakka milk tea I need you.

September 17, 2011: Headed to Megamall with family for dinner and went dSLR-video window shopping. Ate at CAJUN which again, I will blog about soon! :)

September 18, 2011: Whooole day shoot for our project for our PAVP class! Did a debut video for our pseudo-debutant, Nadine Sagales (who was also our assistant director, by the way). We went to Indigo Salon for our first shoot, then to the church in White Plains for our second shoot (that wasn't included in the video), then to Fun Ranch for our third shoot, then to Nadine's place for our fourth and last shoot! Tell me if you want to see the video! :) It really is special and one of my favorite projects ever.

And the rest is history! We've just finished our Sports Fest last week and the Mass Communication society won 2nd place for the Cheerdance Competition! Yey! And our PEP Squad (which I'm proudly a part of) won "Most Supportive Cheering Squad"! All those nights of practice definitely paid off! Hoorah! Watch the routine here:

Day 05: My never-ending playlist.

I've been procrastinating all day for this post. My mind has been on a roller coaster today - up down up down, WEEEEEE! So I can't seem to figure out my mood. There is one thing I'm sure of, though. I've been feeling so thankful all day. Okay, end of intro.

Day 5: A song to match your mood

So today, I've had pretty much the most awesome day in history of Karissa Elora Picson. When I use the laptop, my TweetDeck is always open while I'm on Google Chrome, Facebook-ing, blog-hopping, YouTube... You know, the works. Anyway, AJ Rafael, one of my biggest music influences ever, tweeted that he was at the Life Cafe with some friends. I replied back, "Life Cafe sounds so RENT." 'cause you know, I love RENT. I was playing a game on Addicting Games when TweetDeck appears and there's AJ's tweet, quoting my tweet and then a reply. I was like...

It was truly a "WHUT?!" moment, my friends. It truly was. So anyway, I didn't reply back 'cause I had no idea what to say. Then this dude replies, still joining me in the conversation and then I still don't reply. Then an hour later, AJ replies to the guy's tweet, STILL joining me in the conversation. The guy said something weird which I did not agree to, so I had to "defend" myself saying I didn't say anything. I tried to strike up a conversation and I said, "I wish there was a place here in the Philippines like Life Cafe" without thinking he would reply... BUT HE STILL DID. Crazy, right? He's already replied to me before, back in February 2010 when I asked if he still had gigs while he was here in the Philippines. This was magical though, 'cause it was like we were chatting. My friend even tweeted me and mentioned how lucky I was, I was iike, I KNOW RIGHT.

Another awesome thing that happened was that, well, you know, I PASSED MY BIOLOGY CLASS.

The next best thing happened...

I tweeted STATUS Magazine yesterday, just to give them a little heads up on something. I didn't really need a reply so I didn't really expect anything. Then I saw that they Direct Messaged me on Twitter and I was just thinking that because I'm following them, they can send me a DM. I didn't mind much, I just wanted to reply. So, I did through a DM too. Then I realized, WAIT. I can't DM them unless they're following me, too. So I opened Twitter.com and everything to check my followers, and VOILA...

MY FAVORITE MAGAZINE, IS FOLLOWING ME.

Which is so freaking awesome, 'cause I don't care that I'm only one out of the 2000+ people they're following, 'cause one out of those 2000+ Twitter people is my crush... OKAY GOING OFF TOPIC. Sorry. So because I realized this, I tweeted it, then they re-tweeted me and then replied. My gash. We began talking a bit through Direct Message, but just six messages. How awesome.

Then another good thing happened, a very pretty girl from school who my friends and I like so much (she's talented, sweet and very nice) was online today and since she was posting things about STATUS a lot, I chatted with her. She replied and she was sooo nice. I even got touched 'cause I introduced myself and she was like, "Yeah, I know :)"

So I've been pretty much thankful today, 'cause God granted me all these blessings in one day, in my own home! So happy for this day. :)

Praise the Lord!

Oh, and my parents are drinking wine right now... And they're sharing the blessing with me, too.
